A Week At the Markets
Towards the end of the week trading at the ZSE is modest, and the indices are mostly holding or improving slightly. Since the beginning of the week, CROBEX went 0.19% up to 1,854 points, and CROBEX 10 was 0.57% up to 1,073 points. Agrokor Administrator Calls Assemblies
Agrokor companies listed at the Zagreb Stock Exchange reported that Administrator Ramljak asked their managements to convene general assemblies, to discuss among other things coverage of losses incurred in 2016. Jamnica, Žitnjak, Ledo, Tisak, Belje, PIK Vinkovci and Vupik announced that Ramljak asked for assemblies to be held within ten days from a call to shareholders.
He also proposed the agenda, including the report of the Supervisory Board on oversight of operations in 2016, managements and auditors’ annual reports for 2016, annual financial reports, consolidated financial reports for 2016, and decisions on clearances to be given to management and supervisory boards.
Also, all companies are expected to decide on covering the losses in 2016, and nomination of auditors for 2017.
According to revised audits, Jamnica’s consolidated loss for 2016 was Kn – 255.6 million, Tisak lost Kn – 388 million, Ledo Kn – 270, Belje Kn – 45 million, Žitnjak Kn – 29.8 million, PIK Vrbovci Kn – 233 milion, and PIK Vrbovec Kn – 8 million.
For Belje and Vupik Mr Ramljak is proposing to appoint special auditors to audit the companies’ operations “with particular emphasis on operations concerning the largest individual shareholder Agrokor d.d.”. He is suggesting that Deloitte be the new auditor.
Belje is expected to amend its decision on coverage of 2015 losses, adopted in August 2016, and PIK Vinkovci to amend its statutes.

CROBEX down, Agrokor Stocks Lead the Trade
This morning Crobex indices dropped by more than half percent (Crobex by 0.73% to 1,843 points, and Crobex10 by 0.69% to 1,085 points). Most of the regular turnover of Kn 3.8 million went to various Agrokor stock, with Ledo in the lead, selling Kn 1.23 million and closing at Kn 934 (+0.11%), followed by Jamnica with 0.85 million in turnover, closing at Kn 15,500 or 3.13% down. Belje stock traded Kn 0.31 million and closed at Kn 6.99.
HT was the last among high traders, turning over 0.2 million with the price stable at Kn 169.
Varteks led the losers, down 13%, followed by Tehnika, down 6.8%, and Atlantska Plovidba, down almost 5%.

Trgovina Krk Buys Out Competitors
Trgovina Krk, from Malinska, bought Kvarner Punat Trgovina, acquiring 30 new stores and 117 employees. This is in addition to 66 stores and over 400 employees Trgovina Krk already had on the Island of Krk and surrounding areas on the mainland. Trgovina Krk is majority (90%) owned by Čakovečki Mlinovi, together with Metss, Trgocentar Virovitica, Trgostil, Radnik Opatija, Vražap, and Pogača Babin Kuk, and functions within the National Trading Chain (NTL, Nacionalni Trgovački Lanac), and covers the island with retail stores dealing in everything from hardware to groceries. Before the takeover, Kvarner Punat was a part of the Ultra Gros trading group. Mr Dubravno Fanuko, director of Trgovina, will become the CEO of both companies, but for now both chains will keep their distinct personalities. They are also planning to open two new shopping centers on the island. This acquisition is also expected to help the island company once major chains arrive to Krk, such as Lidl which is expected to open a shopping centre in the city of Krk within the next couple of weeks.

Pevec Buys Z1
Pevec d.d. hardware store chain has acquired a portion of Z1 television, and announces spreading into marketing, with the intention to produce their own shows, oriented primarily towards the DIY audience. The company statement stresses that Z1 is one of the most popular local stations in Zagreb, but is also present throughout the country. Their goal, they say, is to create a ‘modern channel with interesting programmes’ and ‘new standards of production’.
At the same time, the company is planning to start their own web shop, and integrate the platforms to create a consumer-oriented approach.
