{"id":555,"date":"2018-04-25T12:41:29","date_gmt":"2018-04-25T12:41:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hrbusinessmonitor.eu\/?p=555"},"modified":"2018-04-25T12:41:29","modified_gmt":"2018-04-25T12:41:29","slug":"new-loans-for-small-farmers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hrbusinessmonitor.eu\/index.php\/2018\/04\/25\/new-loans-for-small-farmers\/","title":{"rendered":"New Loans for Small Farmers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jutarnji.hr\/biznis\/financije-i-trzista\/povoljni-krediti-za-seljake-pola-milijarde-kuna-za-poljoprivrednike-uz-kamate-od-01-do-15-posto\/7254666\/\">The Ministry of Agriculture<\/a>, HAMAG-BICRO and the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development HABOR, have secured around half a billion Kuna for investment in rural development projects. <!--more-->Interest rates should be between 0.5% and 1.5%, and for the milk industry, seen as most endangered in the sector, interest rates should be 0.1%. The needs were analysed based on previous tenders, and the conclusion was that the offer did not quite follow the needs of the agriculture and forestry sector.<br \/>\nThe agreement was signed on April 18th, 2018. The Ministry stated that access to capital was a problem for development and modernization of the sector. Banks were not willing to finance agriculture as they think of it as high-risk, and interest rates were very high.<br \/>\nBut from May this year all these problems should end, as the HAMAG-BICRO is launching a line of credit of up to EUR 50,000 for primary production and processing, at 0.5% to 1.5%, and the \u201cincredibly low\u201d 0.1% for milk farmers. The guarantee project will enable farmers to access the credit market without having to mortgage their homes.<br \/>\nBy the end of the year, the Ministry expects to launch a new line with HABOR, for loans up to EUR 1 million with the same level of interest rates.<br \/>\nAfter signature, the agreement needs to be forwarded to the Government for adoption.
