More than one third of the money will go to Zagreb, which will get EUR 114.9 million. <\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Rijeka will get EUR 43.7 million, and a quarter of that will be used in preparation for the year 2020 when the city will become the Cultural Capital of EU. The rest will be used for public transport (acquiring new busses), improving the heat distribution, and improvements to business infrastructure such as incubators, business zones and the like. Preparations for the 2020 will also include refurbishments to the former Rikard Ben\u010di\u0107 factory, revitalizing several dilapidated facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Pula plans to spend its EUR 19.8 million on LNG-powered public transport, build come business incubators, and revitalize a small Roman theatre. Split got EUR 46.6 million, Osijek EUR 34.6 million, Zadar EUR 22.8 million, and Slavonski Brod got EUR 20.9 million. Although the cities seem to have some projects ready, they are also behind on preparing all of the projects needed for utilization of the money. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Minister for Regional Development Gabriela \u017dalac stated that the agreements with the cities represent decentralization of management of European money in Croatia. She expects the cities to move in individual projects in the immediate future. The money comes from the Integrated Territorial Investment mechanism within the OP Competitiveness and Cohesion from the 2020 Financial Perspective.
