SDP President Davor Bernardić, adding his five cents, presented today the SDP’s five points to save Agrokor. According to Bernardić, the administration drained millions from Agrokor, and the government pretended to have no idea. “Of course they knew”, said Bernardić. “Plenković is protecting (deputy prime minister) Martina Dalić, which shows they are in it together”. He added that the process is contaminated and that the restructuring process has not yet begun.
The SDP offered cooperation on five points they believe should be implemented to save Agrokor:
– Changes to existing legislation, including the Lex Agrokor (as the SDP believes it would be necessary to include provisions on conflict of interest)
– Limit the salary of the administrator and avoid money going to various advisors
– Install a management board of three members
– Include public oversight of the entire process – advisory bodies (Comment: we are just as confused as to what this could mean, in particular in view of the second point)
– Parliamentary oversight with regular reporting.
The SDP also believes that Martina Dalić leaving the government and Ante Ramljak leaving the Interim Administration are the basic preconditions.
(Comment: it seems that the SDP still cannot find a basic line on the Agrokor scandal but it feels pressured into saying something,)
