Đuro Đaković Special Vehicles, a part of the Đuro Đaković Group, concluded a new contract with the Ministry of Defence worth Kn 10 million. The contract covers revision of M84 tanks. The tanks to be revised will be delivered in the last quarter of 2018. The company stated that this contract provides continuity in providing general revision of tanks of the Croatian Armed Forces.

Đuro Đaković signs such contracts with the MoD on annual basis. In 2017 the contract was worth Kn 8 million. The company from Slavonski Brod, whose largest shareholder is the state, produced more than 700 M84’s since mid-eighties.

Last year, defense contracts accounted for only 6.75% of Đuro Đaković’s revenue, as the company lost a Kn 100 million bid to the Israeli UT 30 Mk2 Fire Station for its armored battle vehicles. ĐĐ’s fire station, developed with Kongsberg from Norway, went unused.

The Special Vehicles division is the flagship of Đuro Đaković, employing most peole in the group, 546, and generally accounting for most of the revenue.
