Three years after the Dalmatian brand Tommy, owned by Mr Tomislav Mamić, first entered the cult Split bakery with a reported EUR 3 million investment, the T-portal reports  that Tommy now owns 100% of Bobis. Apparently, Tommy bought 25% each from former owners Josip Svaguša and former Mrs. Svaguša.
The exact amount for which Mr Mamić bought the share was not disclosed but the press is reporting that the sale was a request by now former owners Svaguša, who were reported as unwilling or unable to follow their new partner in plans for company development.
Mr Mamić stated that they were “dissatisfied by growth and development of Bobis”, because “synergies with Tommy were not optimally utilized”. “It was clear that further Bobis development was hindered in a way by the structure of ownership and financial potential of some stakeholders”, said Mr Mamić.
When Tommy bought into Bobis, the investment was used to cover obligations and pay the suppliers, and the rest was used for current operations. This enabled Bobis to start growing, so overall revenue went from Kn 96 million in 2015 to Kn 142 million in 2017.
